Like most NLA members, Nares Inlet is one of my favourite places in the world. I love spending time on our little windy, rocky island. My other home is on a semi-rural lot south of Whitehorse, Yukon where we regularly deal with many issues common to NLA - septic systems, bear proofing, wildfire threats, winter snow loads and endless plans for new outbuildings.
The Landing and the easy access it provides to our island is a critical part of our cottage life. Over the past several years the Association has made some excellent improvements. The work is not yet done but I think we have developed a strong planning system and I would like, in whatever way I can, to help implement those plans.

I am a former outdoor educator who now works at a digital agency in Toronto as Director of Technology, where I lead digital projects for various organizations (Moderna, Kraft Heinz). I’ve been coming to our family cottage on Clontarf Island since before I can remember, and spent May - September on Georgian Bay as a staff member at YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth for over 10 years. I am excited to become more involved in the Nares Landing Association, and am keen to lend a hand however I can.
I've been coming to Nares Inlet since childhood, and it remains my favourite place in the world. I enjoy spending time at my cottage and working on the property.
After touring the lodge a few years ago, I felt inspired to contribute and joined the board, where I've served for the past three years. I’ve especially enjoyed being part of the Future Planning Committee, where I’ve had the opportunity to share ideas and help shape the direction of Nares.
In the last year I've also taken on the role of updating the Nares Landing Website. I'm excited about this work and the opportunity to improve the facilities at Nares Landing and ensure this special place continues to thrive.
